Baby's Growth In Week 39

Now that the baby is almost 38 weeks old, he is perfectly healthy and is doing great. The lungs are appropriately matured and surfactant production is increasing. Over 7 pounds in size, the child would be under close monitoring through the final days of pregnancy. A check on the child's heartbeat helps assess the progress. Ready for the birth, your baby has already catered to all major development requirements. Yet, just after the birth he might seem a little peculiar. Well, don't worry, as all newborns look kind of different from normal expectations. And moreover these seemingly strange looks won't stay for long, it is just a matter of few days and the newborn would grow to be a perfectly normal and beautiful child.

And dearest mom, whom do you want your baby to look like? Should she resemble you or pick few distinct features from her father's looks? Have you pictured your child's look? If not, then take my word on it, she looks even prettier than the adorable baby gazing you through the poster hung on the front wall of the nursery.

Start imagining, because this can take off the anxiety of the nearing childbirth. Many of you might deliver this week and the balance within next few days. There is not much of it left. 38 weeks of pregnancy have sailed by swiftly and remaining few days of the pregnant week by week too promise to end soon.
